CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Work on 9th Avenue NW from Main Street to 4th Street NW in Valley City continues. Starting Monday, August 13th, the contractor will be working between Main Street and 2nd Street NW as well as from 3rd Street NW to 4th Street NW.

The intersection of 3rd Street NW will be closed starting Monday, August 13th. The residents will need to use 2nd Street NW to access the properties west of 9th Avenue NW. The intersection of 4th Street NW will remain open while 3rd Street NW is closed. 9th Avenue NW traffic continues to be detoured along Main Street, 5th Avenue NE and 12th Street N. Truck traffic should avoid using 5th Avenue NW.

Weekly planning meetings are being held with the contractor, engineer and the City to provide updates on the progress of the project. Additional updates will be provided weekly as work progresses.
