(NewsDakota.com)- Jamestown College will announce the hiring of a new Men’s basketball coach on Monday afternoon at 2pm. There will be a press conference at the Reiland Fine Arts Center on campus.

The position opened up last week when Matt Murken left for the head job at Minot State. Athletic Director Lawrie Paulson hoped this would be a quick process and after a round of interviews they have selected their new coach.

There have been at least three candidates that have come to campus to interview.

The Jimmies are coming off a 27-5 season that ended in the opening round of the NAIA National Tournament, but will have to replace all five starters. Murken lead the Jimmies to 46 wins in his two seasons.

We will broadcast the press conference live on KQDJ 1400 AM/97.1 FM and streamed at NewsDakota.com.
