(NewsDakota.com) – About six weeks after a professional looking smash-and-grab burglary at Riddle’s Jewelry in Jamestown, no arrests have been made.

Jamestown Police Lieutenant John Gletne says they are sharing information regarding the burglary with a task force made up of law enforcement in the Midwest. He says they have heard of similar burglaries at places around Minneapolis, but no similar cases have been reported in North Dakota.

“At this point, nothing has really come up,” Gletne said Thursday afternoon.

In the early-morning hours of Sunday, June 24, at least three disguised suspects smashed through the east doors of the Buffalo Mall, gained entrance to Riddle’s through a glass display window, and quickly cleaned out several display cases of jewelry.

Police say the whole incident lasted less than two minutes and the suspects were methodical in their actions, leading police to believe the suspects had executed similar burglaries.
