Fossen, age 82, of Valley City, ND, died Saturday, July 28th at the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 1st at the Sheyenne Care Center Chapel in Valley City.  Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the Sheyenne Care Center Chapel on Wednesday. 

Carl Fossen, the son of John and Florence (Schoberg) Fossen was born December 6, 1929 in Valley City, ND.  Carl and his family lived in various places around the Valley City, ND area while he grew up.  Carl later moved to Grafton, ND and later moved to Grand Forks, ND.  In 1998, Carl moved to the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City.

Carl is survived by two sisters, Henrietta Aune, Oakes, ND and Florence Olufson, Valley City, ND; one sister-in-law, Delores Fossen, Valley City, ND; 10 nieces and nephews.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, three sisters, two nephews and one niece.
