N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Governor Jack Dalrymple proclaimed July 28 as the “National Day of the Cowboy” to celebrate the contribution of the Cowboy and Cowgirl to America’s culture and heritage.

North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame Center of Western Heritage & Cultures; Native American, Ranching and Rodeo Executive Director Ray Morrell said a variety of fun activities and events are set for National Day of the Cowboy.

The NDCHF in Medora is the premier interpretive center for showcasing the history of Native Americans, ranching, rodeo and the western lifestyle of the plains and the badlands said Morrell.
