N.D. (AP) – A judge has ordered a mental evaluation for a Fargo man who is accused of stabbing his wife to death last March. The exam of 50-year-old Henry Deniger will provide an opinion of whether Deniger can help his lawyers defend against the murder charge he faces. Deniger is represented by two public defenders. Deniger’s wife Kathye was found dead in her south Fargo apartment in March. Deniger was arrested later in St. Cloud, Minn. Henry Deniger’s evaluation is expected to be completed before his preliminary hearing on Aug. 2. East Central District Judge Steven McCullough granted a request by Deniger’s lawyers for a mental evaluation of their client.
