N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Authorities say a man who was burglarizing a rural Eldridge home dumped the goods in the home’s driveway and fled after the woman who lives there showed up.

Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser says Thomas Hoggarth has been charged with burglary, theft and criminal trespass in connection with the incident.

Kaiser says Hoggarth was burglarizing a home three miles northwest of Eldridge when a woman who lives there came back to the house.

Kaiser says the burglar put most of the stolen property on the woman’s driveway and left. She followed him, and Hoggarth was eventually stopped and arrested.
