Frank Joseph Wolf was born Aug. 8, 1921 at Fingal, ND the son of John and Rosie (Huber) Wolf.  He grew up on a farm east of the Old Holy Trinity Cemetery northeast of Fingal, ND.  He attended a country school and worked for a neighbor before enlisting in the US ARMY on Nov. 19, 1945. After his tour of duty in Germany and Austria he was discharged March 3, 1947.  He married Agnes Gesellchen on Nov. 81948 at St. Catherine’s Church.  He helped his father-in-law farm and worked for Land-O-Lakes from 1955-58 & 1964-67.  Frank started raising beef cattle in 1959. His Herefords were admired by many passers-by.  They were his pride and joy.  Frank quit farming in 1967 and he and his wife rented the land.  Then he worked for Nielsen Construction and Arkota Industries.  He also helped a couple of farmers during the summers for many years.  Farming was in his blood.  He still had his Herefords until 2006 when he finally sold the last two.  He moved off the farm to live at the Rudolf Square in 2008.  This spring he entered the Sheyenne Care Center because of his failing health.  He was very proud of his granddaughters and especially his great-grandson and great-granddaughter.  He will be missed.

He leaves his daughter, Ann Marie (Ed) Thom, Valley City, ND, 2 granddaughters, Caroline (Ross) Windingland, Jamestown, ND and Elena Thom, Fargo, ND; 2 brothers, Herman, Fargo, ND and Robert, Valley City, ND; a sister Katherine Olson, Valley city, ND; 2 great-grandchildren,  Jordan and Alexis Windingland; and a niece, Chris Koslofsky, Fingal, ND.
