CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) While Fireworks displays are being canceled in several western South Dakota cities due to a high fire danger index. Officials in North Dakota are reminding everyone to exercise caution due to dry conditions in North Dakota.

Valley City Fire Chief Gary Retterath is also reminding those setting off fireworks during the Forth of July Celebration to be careful.

Enjoy the fireworks display at the annual Sanborn Fire Department’s July 4th celebration at dusk in Sanborn Wednesday night. Other activities include a parade at 10am Wednesday morning, Pickup pull at 11am and demo derby at 2pm Wednesday in Sanborn.
