(NewsDakota.com) The Oakes Post 36 American Legion baseball team continues their five game home stand against Section 2 opponents on Thursday evening when they welcome Ellendale Post 137 to Cummings Field.

So far in the three previous games at home, Oakes has a record of 1-2, with the lone win coming against Wishek Post 87 in the second part of a doubleheader on Wednesday night. The two loses come from the first game against Wishek and a defeat by Lisbon Post 7 on Tuesday night. After Thursday’s game, the final game of the home stand is Monday when Carrington Post 25 before going to Ellendale a week from Friday.

First pitch of Thursday’s contest is set for 7:30 p.m., with coverage on KDDR 1220-AM and 95.9 FM and NewsDakota.com at 7:15.
