(NewsDakota.com) It truly has been a long process, and still extensive work continues and remains on the reconstruction of the Oakes Golf Course just north of town.

The course was devastated from flooding from the last few years, and has not be fully operational in quite some time. The construction of flood control barriers along the creek which slices the course in half were put in place in the Fall of 2011, and seeding commenced on the grounds last Friday.
