N.D. (NewsDakota.com) In 2011 the North Dakota farming community was talking about record “prevented planted” acres across the state. This year is turning out to be the exact opposite with talk turning to “early harvest.” Neal Fisher is with the North Dakota Wheat Commission.
Fisher says the strong start has set things up for a great year for wheat farmers even though there is still a lot of grown season left. Fisher says there are some isolated parts of the state where dryness is a factor.
