(NewsDakota.com) – A 36-year-old Montpelier man was arraigned last week on charges of gross sexual imposition in Southeast District Court.

Ervin Glenn Brandvold appeared in court Thursday in front of Southeast District Judge John Greenwood in Jamestown. Brandvold is accused of engaging in or causing another to engage in sexual acts with an individual less than 15 years of age during a period from April 1 to May 2, 2012.

The charge is a Class AA felony, punishable by up to life in prison. If found guilty, Brandvold could face a mandatory minimum of five years in prison.
