With temperatures in the upper 80’s and plenty of sunshine, it was quite the ideal day for a celebration of all things Oakes, and in particular, the theme of the weekend for 2012: Game Shows.

The Oakes Chamber put the parade together once again, and a committee of three judges voted on various awards to the participants in the parade.

Three different businesses shared the award for Best Use Of Theme for this year’s parade.

The second Best Use Of Theme winner was the Good Samaritan Society for their float based on the classic game Concentration.

The third winner was Mertz Lumber and Supply for their float resembling Hollywood Squares.
