(NewsDakota.com) Several communities are hosting Memorial Day services this coming Monday.

The Oakes High School will be the host of a Joint Memorial Day Service on Monday at 11 a.m. in the school’s gymnasium.

Bean Goodwin post #36-Auxiliary Unit #36, Iverson-Mangin Memorial Post #9049 and the Veterans of Foregin Wars are coming together for the service. Gigi Moore of Auxiliary Unit #36 will provide a tribute, and the local girl scouts will place wreaths.

The Memorial Day Address will be conducted by Kenny Weiderbolt, Executive Committeeman with the Legion Department.

At the LaMoure American Legion’s Hall at 10 a.m., the Towsned-Good-Shockman Post #19 Legion will host a service, as will the Jones-Benoit Legion Post #178 in Verona also at 10 a.m. at the Verona Community Center.
