N.D. (AP) – A Fargo surgeon who’s accused of drugging and sexually assaulting his wife is hoping to convince a judge to throw out the case against him. Jon Norberg is accused of having sex with his wife after giving her propofol . He backed out of a plea deal with prosecutors earlier this spring because he felt it might affect his pending divorce case.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – The Bismarck City Commission is tearing down the building that once housed the popular Meriwether’s restaurant on the banks of the Missouri River. The building was condemned after it was heavily damaged by flooding last summer. Demolition will cost about $38,000.
MANDAN, N.D. (AP) – The campground at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park south of Mandan will reopen June 1st, more than a year after it had to shut down because of Missouri River flooding. Parts of the park were covered by as much as 7 feet of river water last summer and much as a foot of silt was left behind when the water receded.
MINOT, N.D. (AP) – A Tennessee company is the new owner of Dakota Square Mall in Minot. CBL & Associates Properties bought the mall from the Lightstone Group in a deal worth more than $91 million. That includes the assumption of a $59 million loan.
