(NewsDakota.com) The 2012 State Class A and B Track and Field Meet is Friday and Saturday at the Bismarck Community Bowl.
The Parade of Athletes commences the festivities on Friday at 9:30 a.m. with events starting at 10:30 with the preliminaries for the 300 Meter Hurdles as well as the B girls Shot Put, A girls Javelin, B Boys Triple Jump and A boys pole vault.
The rest of the events on the track for Friday, which will run A boys, B boys, A girls, B girls, are the prelims of the 4 x 200 Meter Relay at 11:15, the finals of the 1600 Meter Run at 12:15, the 100 Meter Dash prelims at 1:15, the 400 Meter Dash prelims at 2:00, the High Hurdles prelims at 2:45, the 200 Meter Dash prelims at 3:30, the Class A 4 x 800 Meter Relay finals at 4:15, the 4 x 100 Meter Relay prelims at 4:50 and the Class B 4 x 800 Meter Relay finals at 5:30.
The field events after the 10:30 start will feature the A boys Shot Put, B girls Javelin, A girls Long Jump, and B boys Long jump at 12:30. At 2:30, it’s the B boys shot put, the A boys Javelin, the B girls Triple Jump and the A girls Pole Vault. The A girls shot put, B boys Javelin, A boys Long Jump and B girls High Jump will round out the day at 4:30.
On Saturday, field events start at 9 a.m. with the B girls Long Jump and A girls discus. 10 a.m. sees the B boys Pole Vault, followed by the A boys Triple Jump, B girls Discus and A girls High Jump at 11. At 1, the B boys Long Jump and A boys discus. At 2, the B girls Pole Vault, and the field events finish up starting at 3 with the A girls Triple Jump, B boys Discus and A boys High Jump.
The track events, which are all finals, start Saturday at 11 a.m. with the 300 Meter Hurdles, the 4 x 200 Meter Relay at 11:30, the 3200 Meter Run at Noon, the 100 Meter Dash at 1, the 400 Meter Dash at 1:30, the High Hurdles at 2, the 200 Meter Dash at 2:30, the 800 Meter Run at 3, and the 4 x 100 Meter Relays at 3:30.
