CITY (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Water Treatment plant upgrade is nearly finished but it now has a cost overrun of 1,000 dollars on the million dollar project.

City Administrator David Schelkoph says contractors are so busy in the western oil patch of North Dakota it has led to a delay in completing the water treatment plant project here.

Schelkoph says the water treatment plant upgrade in Valley City is expected to be finished this summer.
