(NewsDakota.com)- The Jamestown baseball team had their three-game West Region winning streak snapped on the road at Mandan last night. The Braves took both games of the double-header to split the season series.

Mandan won the WDA counter game 4-3 and the second game 5-0. 

 The two squads went back and forth early in game with. Single runs were scored in five of the first six half-innings with Mandan taking a 3-2 lead.

Danny Fischer scored from third as the Braves picked Brady Anderson off first base to tie the game at 3 in the top of the sixth.

A Blue Jay error led to the go-ahead run plating for Mandan in the home half of the six. 

After a lead-off walk and a sac bunt, the Braves were able to retire the final two batters and secure the victory.

Mandan took down the Jays 5-0 in the second game.

Jamestown is now 14-8 and 6-4 in the WDA, they will host Dickinson on Thursday at Jack Brown Stadium.
