CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–The Hi-Liner softball team continued it’s fine season with a double-header sweep of Fargo Davies in Fargo yesterday, taking game on e 5-3 and game two 15-1.

Keely Fogarty struggled a bit with control, but picked up the game one victory, striking out seven while walking four, allowing three runs, only one of which was earned.

Allison Baasch had two hits in three trips, driving in a run and scoring.  Amanda Tangen, Dierra Diegel, and Madison McDaniel all had two hit performances.  Diegel had a double and a triple, and all four stole bases.

Jessica Denholm shined in the game two victory, tossing a four hitter, striking out two.  Tangen was 4-5 with four RBI, and Denholm, Brooke Breckheimer, and Danica Diegel all had three hits.

The Hi-Liners are now 7-4 in Eastern Dakota Conference (EDC) play, tied for fourth place with Fargo Shanley.  Valley City will host first-place West Fargo May 8th.
