CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–Tuesday was a tough day for the Hi-Liner golfers battling Rose Creek.

Valley City finished eighth in the full Eastern Dakota Conference (EDC) meet, shooting a team 337, 15 shots out of the key sixth-place position held by Fargo South.

Nick Jensen finished the day ninth overall with a 78.  Ben Sorenson shot an 83, Tyler Stevens and 87, and Jared Lentz an 89.

“As a team, we kind of took a step in the wrong direction today,” said head coach Buff Murray.  “As a whole, the team struggled with it’s putting, with too many three-putts on the card.”

The Hi-Liners will play Crossroads Golf Course in Carrington in EDC action Tuesday, May 8th.
