(NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown High Schools’ Lifesmarts trivia team took 12th place this past weekend at the National Championships in Philadelphia.

The top eight teams advanced to the quarterfinals. A total of 32 teams competed. The team from Maryland won the national championship on Tuesday.

Jamestown’s team was coached by Marchel Krieger. It was made up of juniors Declan O’Higgins, Kyle Gee and Mariah Schlenker, sophomore Zach Fossen and freshman Kelsey Becker.

Questions in the competition cover personal finance, health and safety, the environment, technology, and consumer rights and responsibilities. Jamestown’s team won the state championship in February.
