(NewsDakota.com) The LaMoure-Litchville/Marion baseball team is at long last playing their first home contest in Region I this year, as they host the Spartans of Finley-Sharon/Hope-Page at Townsend Field on Tuesday afternoon.
The Loboes were on the road for the first four games due to a rain out of their one scheduled home game on April 13 against Hankinson-Farimont. The first two games away did not go well for LLM, with 3-1 and 8-0 losses to Northern Cass and the defending state champs from Kindred-Richland. However, the last two have seen the Loboes place tallies in the win column, with a 7-2 victory over Enderlin/Maple Valley last Tuesday, and squeaking out a 4-3 win on Thursday in Casselton to spoil Central Cass’ home opener.
The Spartans are 2-1, with their wins in Region I coming against EMV (7-2 on April 10) and Northern Cass (8-3 on April 19); while losing to Kindred-Richland (1-0 on April 16).
First pitch is set for 5 p.m., and coverage on Q101.1 FM and NewsDakota.com starts at 4:45.
