“Tom” Anderson, 60, of Gwinner, ND, died April 20, 2012, at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.

Thomas Walter was born October 9, 1951 at Fargo, North Dakota to Oliver and Cecelia (McDermott) Anderson. He grew up in the Stirum, North Dakota area and attended school at Gwinner, graduating from North Sargent High School in 1971. Tom worked in the agricultural field for 40 years, and was employed at the fertilizer plant in Gwinner, where he worked up until the time of his death. He was united in marriage to Patti (Larson) Sandstrom on March 2, 1985 at Lisbon, North Dakota.

Tom loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed golfing, old cars, and collecting coins. Tom was known for his kindness, sense of humor, integrity, and honesty. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Patti; three sons, Paul Anderson, Fargo, ND, Michael (Lisa) Anderson, Barnesville, MN, and Brady (Ashley) Anderson, Perham, MN; a daughter, Mellissa (Howard) Euneau, Hill City, SD; three sisters, Barbara Leininger, Lutz, FL, Kaye Parfit, West Fargo, ND, and Judy Hanson, Fargo, ND; his father-in-law, Donald Larson, Gwinner, ND; and seven grandchildren, Sidney, Isabelle, Olivia, Lydia, Haiden, Emma, and Ethan. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Jerry, daughter Mandy, mother-in-law Betty Larson, a brother-in-law, and a nephew.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 24, 2012 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Gwinner, ND. The funeral will be Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church.
