June Jorgenson, 94, of Lisbon, ND, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Parkside Lutheran Home, Lisbon, ND. A memorial service for June will be held at a later date.

Esther June Bennett, daughter of Clarence and Augusta (Sebens) Bennett was born on June 4, 1917 at Hamlet, Indiana. When she was four years old, she moved with her family to a farm south of Milnor, North Dakota. She grew up and attended school in Milnor, graduating from Milnor High School in 1935. In 1936, June married Vernon Meyer, and together they had three children, Allan, Kathryn, and Steve. In 1960, June moved to Fargo, North Dakota, where she was employed with the Forum as a proof reader. She later worked for Diercks Printing in Fargo, until her retirement. June was united in marriage to Morris Jorgenson on June 15, 1980. Morris died in 1997, and June continued to live in Fargo until she moved to Lisbon, where she lived up until the time of her death. June enjoyed reading, rock collecting, and geneology.

She is survived by three children, Allan (Fran) Meyer, Stirum, ND, Kathryn (Mark) Young, St. Augustine, FL, and Steve (Diane) Meyer, Nikiski, AK; a sister, Alice (Donald) Lee, Milnor, ND; seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. June was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and a brother, Paul Bennett.
