CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–The Viking baseball team was dealt their seventh-straight loss, dropping an 11-4 decision to Concordia College in Moorhead yesterday.

Valley City State tied the game at 3-3 in the top of the third, then allowed a run in the bottom, two more in the fourth, two in the fifth, and three in the seventh.  The Vikings managed a run in the eighth.

Alex Beach (Jr., Fairmount, ND) took the loss, allowing four runs on six hits, striking out two.  Scott Stephenson (Jr., Ontario, CA) led the offense with two hits in four trips, scoring a run.

The Vikings host Mayville State in a four-game set this weekend, with two Saturday and two Sunday.  The Saturday games will be heard on Dakota Country Radio, with pregame coverage at 12:40 p.m., and first pitch at 1:00 p.m.
