CITY (NewsDakota.com) Authorities say a 30-year-old Jamestown man escaped serious injury after the vehicle he was driving ran off Interstate 94 and into Hobart Lake west of Valley City Thursday night just before 11 o’clock.
Barnes County Sheriff’s Deputy Dan Anderson said, a Jamestown couple driving down the Interstate saw the vehicle go into the water. The couple helped get the other driver David Paul Floyd Brown out of the water. The vehicle was submerged when rescue crews arrived on the scene.
Brown was transported to Mercy Hospital for treatment and arrested. Brown was cited for DUI following a preliminary investigation after the accident.
