(NewsDakota.com)- One team came in having lost 8 in a row, the other had won 9 of their 10 games. The Valley City State Vikings proved momentum doesn’t mean much as they dropped the Jimmies in a pair of softball games.

The Vikings were looking to get off their 8-game losing streak and did so in a big way. VCSU took down Jamestown College  4-2 and 6-2.

VCSU improved their record to 16-17 with the wins. The losses dropped the red-hot Jimmies to 18-15.

The Vikings took 3 of 5 on the season from JC.
