CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–Getting no-hit in softball can be embarrassing, but in softball circles, there is no shame in being no-hit by West Fargo.

The Packers, more than even a dynasty in North Dakota fastpitch, pulled the trick on Valley City yesterday, taking a 10-0 win over the Hi-Liners at West Fargo.

Hi-Liner starter Keely Fogarty threw well, having just one rough inning, where West Fargo scored five runs in the fifth to win by the ten-run rule.  She allowed eight hits and walked three.

Dierra Diegel was the lone baserunner for the Hi-Liners, working a walk, then being caught stealing at second.  Packer hurler Brittany Rheault worked five innings of no-hit softball, but did not strike out a Hi-Liner batter.

Valley City travels to Fargo South next Tuesday.
