(NewsDakota.com)- The Jamestown high school softball picked up the first varsity wins in school history yesterday with a doubleheader sweep of Turtle Mountain.

The Jays won the first game 24-16 and picked up the second game victory 16-9. Kadie Anderson and Kayla Thoele both picked up wins.

Jamestown is in their first year with a varsity softball program, they played a JV schedule in 2011.

On Friday, the Jays will host Minot Ryan at McElroy Park.
