(NewsDakota.com) – A proposed greenhouse project in Jamestown will first have a small scale working model constructed in Minnesota in an effort to attract more investors.
The Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corporation approved $65,000 for the small scale project at Monday’s meeting. The small scale operation will be constructed in Grasston, Minn., and be assembled by Hydrosun Hydroponics, Inc.
JSDC executive director Connie Ova says the small scale project will be used to demonstrate to investors the greenhouse project planned for Jamestown.
Endless Harvests, Inc., hopes to raise lettuce in a facility in Jamestown. About $6 million in financing has already been secured for the project, but the company is seeking another $4 million in investments.
