CITY (NewsDakota.com) – Ethen Preston scored 22 points and earned MVP honors as he helped Team Kraft to a 73-55 victory in the annual Ingstad Family Media Senior Classic basketball game Friday night at the W.E. Osmon Fieldhouse.

The game featured 24 senior boys basketball players from area schools playing one final game. Team Kraft, coached by Calvin Kraft, jumped out to a 38-28 lead at halftime and was never challenged in the second half as they rolled to the victory over Team Kocka, coached by Jayson Kocka.

Preston, from Maple Valley, scored 16 of his 22 points in the first half. Nathan Willer of Jamestown added 16 points for Team Kraft and Jacob Greenmeyer of North Sargent scored 11 points while dishing out some impressive assists to his teammates.

Team Kocka was led by Jamestown’s Dyllan Anderson who scored 17 points. Wade Steidle of Maple Valley added 10 points for Team Kocka.

Dyllan Anderson won the dunk contest held at halftime, throwing down two of his three dunk attempts. Beau Diegel of Edgeley-Kulm won the 3-point contest, making eight shots in 30 seconds in the opening round. Josh Roesler of Central Cass also made eight shots in the opening round, but Diegel out-shot Roesler 6-4 in a shootout to decide the title.
