CITY (NewsDakota.com) A local group of pilots are offering to help law enforcement officials search for stolen vehicles in the future.

Flight Instructor Jon Kreilkamp says the group is calling itself the “Valley City Volunteer Air Force.”

Kreilkamp says Valley City police officers and Barnes County Sheriff’s deputies and their families have been invited to an event on Sunday to discuss the idea, get free plane rides and food at the airport. Kreilkamp says about 25 local pilots are willing to participate.
