(NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown City Council is holding two public hearings during its monthly meeting Monday at 5 p.m.

During the meeting, a public hearing will be held “concerning the special assessments on the 2011 Sidewalk, Curb & Gutter District #11-11.”

The city is planning to assess about $67,000 to the benefited properties of the project. The city share would be $68,000 of the $135,635 project.

The second public hearing Monday will be “Concerning Seal Coat, Patching, Construction and Reconstruction District #12-41 protests and the sufficiency thereof.”

The council will hear from the public before deciding to proceed with the project, which will cost about $1.5 million and includes work on more than 100 city blocks of streets in the southeast part of Jamestown.
