(NewsDakota.com) The city of Oakes has announced that crews will start the process of flushing out the city’s fire hydrants starting on Friday.

Crews are performing this action to clean out the hydrants, and remove any build up as well as to make sure the hydrants are working at maximum capacity. Work will take place Friday, Monday and into Tuesday.

During this time, residents may notice a drop in water pressure, or their water being discolored.
