(NewsDakota.com) The 2012 North Dakota High School baseball season will start on time this year, and after a one year absence away from the game, the head coach of LaMoure-Litchville/Marion will be the head coach once again.

Derrold Haugen underwent surgery to receive a kidney last year, donated by LaMoure resident Vance Stemen, and during the time away Heath Schaffer stepped in to lead the Loboes. Haugen is now back and ready to go with the season, which starts on Friday, as LLM hosts Kidder County for two 5-inning games.

Coach Haugen was a guest on KDDR-AM’s “The Metko Sports Show”, and discussed his health and his team as they prepare for another year in a very good Region I.

Once again this season, Loboe baseball can be heard on Q101.1 FM and NewsDakota.com. The first broadcast is Tuesday April 10, as LLM heads up to Northern Cass to start Region I play.
