(NewsDakota.com) – The National Weather Service says there is a 50 percent chance of rain showers Thursday night and a 40 percent chance of rain Friday morning, giving the Jamestown area a shot at some much-needed rain.
Stutsman County has been much drier than usual, and along with most counties south and west, has issued a Burn Ban when fire weather conditions are occurring. On Wednesday, a controlled burn in Stutsman County went out of control and caused damage to a lean-to, garage and house about five miles north of Jamestown.
The weather service is also predicting a chance of thunderstorms on Monday and Tuesday next week.
