Jo Zaun (Plecity) passed peacefully in her son’s home at Cooperstown, ND on Sunday March 18th with her family by her side at the age of 63; after a long battle with heart disease.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 AM Saturday March 24, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Valley City with Rev. Dan Forsberg officiating. Visitation will be from 4PM until 7 PM Friday at the Lerud-Schuldt Funeral Home with a Prayer Service beginning at 7 PM. Visitation will continue at the church on Saturday one hour prior to services.
Interment will take place in Memory Gardens Cemetery later in the spring. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials in Peggy’s memory.
Peggy was born May 6, 1948 in Valley City the daughter of Joseph and Faith (Hope) Plecity. She spent most of her life in Valley City graduating from Valley City High School and then working over 25 years for the same company (today known as Parker). She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She will rest in peace with her parents and brothers Roger and Doug Plecity.
She will forever be remembered by her 4 children; Jeffrey Plecity, Marion, IA, John Zaun, Valley City, ND, Jeremy (Michelle) Zaun, Cooperstown, ND, and Ann (Jeff) Thomsen, Fargo, ND, 23 grandchildren, 4 grandchildren, siblings, Duane (Janice) Plecity, Valley City, ND, Sharon Hennick, Bakersfield, CA, Dennis (Sue) Plecity, Fargo, ND, Janice (Darrol) Olson, Lancaster, OH, and Richard (Jane) Plecity, Valley City, ND, 2 sisters-in-law, Sharon Plecity, Fargo, ND and Annitha Plecity, Valley City, ND, among countless friends and coworkers.
Peggy loved to cook, go to garage sales, loved her cat Thumper, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loyal friend to many, coworker to some, and the world to her children and grandchildren.
