(Jamestown College)- Jamestown College head men’s cross country and track and field coach Ed Crawford announces Joseph Jensen of Jamestown has signed a letter of intent to enroll at Jamestown College next year and participate in cross country and track and field for the Jimmies.
Jensen will graduate this spring from Jamestown High School where he was cross country team captain in 2011 and was also named his team’s hardest worker. He has also been active in National Honor Society, Science Olympiad, speech, FBLA and French Club.
“I’m real excited to have Joe further his education at Jamestown College and honored to have him come out for our cross country and track and field teams,” Crawford says. “Joe is a young man who I think will really excel at the next level as the college distances are more suited to his abilities. Having known Joe for the last two years, I know he is an outstanding young man, both in the classroom and when he competes, always giving 100 percent.”
Jensen is the son of Frank and Stephanie Jensen. He plans to major in biology or chemistry at Jamestown College.
