LAKES M.N. (NewsDakota.com) Former NDSU All-American Defensive lineman and Buffalo Bills Hall-of-Famer Phil Hansen is running as a Republican for a senate seat recently created after redistricting in West Central Minnesota.

Hansen says he’d be an advocate for small business. He grew up on a farm near Oakes, North Dakota. He says agriculture would be another area that he’d focus on during the campaign. Hansen, 43 now lives near Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
