CITY (NewsDakota.com)–The teams that eliminated the Valley City State University Vikings and Jamestown College Jimmies from the NAIA Division II Womens National Tournament are now both in the national championship game.
College of the Ozarks, MO knocked off Concordia, NE 74-70 Monday in the semifinals of the tournament. It’s the closest game the Bobcats have had since Valley City State challenged them to a six-point game, 57-51, in the opening round Thursday.
Northwestern, IA topped Briar Cliff, IA, a team playing in their hometown of Sioux City, IA, 79-67 to advance to the finals. They defeated the Jimmies 80-58 in the second round on Friday.
Northwestern and Ozarks meet for the national title tonight. Northwestern is attempting to win their third-straight national title.
