N.D. (AP) – The head of Rick Santorum’s North Dakota
campaign says he thinks voters in the state decided to back the
Republican presidential candidate because of his positions on
national security issues. Santorum beat Ron Paul in yesterday’s
caucuses.
MANDAN, N.D. (AP) – A former North Dakota teacher who’s accused
of sexually assaulting two male students pleaded not guilty to the
charges. Twenty-five-year-old Jennifer Schultz faces two felony
sexual assault counts, along with misdemeanor charges for allegedly
providing alcohol to a 16-year-old, two 17-year-olds and an
18-year-old while she worked as a teacher in Hebron. She’s since
resigned.
FARGO, N.D. (AP) – The North Dakota Air National Guard won’t see
any job cutbacks under the Air Force’s proposed budget, but it
would lose a manned flying mission. If that happens, the Guard says
North Dakota would become the only state without an Air National
Guard manned flying mission.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – North Dakota’s Game and Fish Department
says more than 700 spring wild turkey hunting licenses are left
after a lottery drawing. Licenses will be issued on a first-come,
first-served basis beginning tomorrow. Only North Dakota residents
are eligible to apply.
