CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–The Region III girls basketball tournament starts today in Napoleon.

The day session will have Pingree-Buchanan-Kensal, who upset their way to a District 5 title last week, taking on Kidder County, the fourth place team from District 6.  Following will be Napoleon, the runners-up from District 6, facing Barnes County North, the third-place qualifier from District 5.

In the night bracket, Linton-HMB, the District 6 champ, will battle LaMoure, the fourth-place qualifier from District 5, and Ellendalle, the District 5 runners-up, will face South Border, the third-place team from District 6.

The tournament continues Tuesday and Thursday.  Sunny 98.3 FM will have coverage of the entire tournament.
