(NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown College wrestler Pat Nord took third place this weekend at the NAIA National Wrestling Championships in Des Moines, Iowa.

Nord, a junior from Enderlin, N.D., won his first three matches before losing a 9-6 decision in the semifinals of the 165-pound division on Friday night. He then won two more matches Saturday in the wrestle back bracket to finish third in the nation, ending with a 7-5 decision in the third-place match.

Nord’s third-place finish earns him All-American honors.

Sam Brown and Jaykob Miller also competed for Jamestown at nationals. They both wrestled at 157 pounds and both put together a 1-2 record in the tournament.
