(NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department is informing residents of a high risk registered sex offender living in the city.

42-year-old Gero Davis Mahto is living at 908 3rd Avenue Southeast in Jamestown. He is described as a 6-foot-2, 280 pounds American Indian with brown hair and brown eyes.

Mahto was convicted of Gross Sexual Imposition back in 1992 in Cass County District Court. During a period of three months in 1992, Mahto forcibly raped four women. He has been incarcerated since his convictions, according to a release from Jamestown police chief Scott Edinger.

Mahto is on probation with the North Dakota Parole and Probation Department, and will be placed on GPS monitoring.
