N.D. (AP) – Many parts of the Dakotas didn’t get as
much snow as forecasters predicted during this week’s storm. but
snow was still heavy in some areas. Emmons County in south-central
North Dakota received nearly a foot of snow.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – The head of North Dakota’s Board of Higher
Education says the group should hire a new chancellor in two weeks.
Grant Shaft says the board will interview the four finalists for
the job in Bismarck. The person who’s hired will succeed North
Dakota university system chancellor William Goetz .
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) – New data from a monthly economic survey in
the Midwest and Plains states shows that the economic recovery has
spread to more industries. The region’s growth had been limited to
agriculture and energy sectors, but it’s now expanding to most
other industries except construction. The report included data from
North Dakota and eight other states.
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) – The North Dakota Class B boys’
basketball tournament kicks off today in Grand Forks. It’s the
first time the city’s hosted the B tournament since 1971.
Semifinals are tomorrow and the championship game will be played on
Saturday at the Alerus Center.
