N.D. (AP) – Heavy snow and freezing rain are causing a
difficult morning commute for many motorists in the Dakotas. That’s
because Interstate 29 is closed between Fargo, North Dakota and
Watertown, South Dakota. Yesterday’s storm dumped several inches of
snow in some parts of the state and more than 1.4 inches of rain in
Sioux Falls. More snow is in the forecast today for southeast North
Dakota.
     
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – The city of Bismarck is one step closer to
having a flood protection plan in place this year. Bismarck’s mayor
says city leaders will study a consultant report and meet with
county officials to discuss coordinating efforts.
     
FARGO, N.D. (AP) – A Texas woman is suing SkyWest Airlines after
she was injured in a 2009 fall on a jetway at Fargo’s Hector
International Airport. Somalia Gibson says two of the jetway pieces
weren’t fitted together properly and she tripped in the gap,
hurting her hip, knee, ankle and back. She’s asking for at least
$86,000.
     
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – Wildlife officials say all six hunters who
got North Dakota bighorn sheep licenses last year bagged a ram. The
season runs in October and November.
