(Courtesy KFGO) A judge has turned down a move to throw out crucial evidence in a Cooperstown murder case. The lawyer for Danial Wacht wanted evidence found with search warrants kept out of the case against Wacht.

Investigators searched Wacht’s van and home. The head of murder victim Kurt Johnson was discovered in a crawl space in Wacht’s basement. His body has never been found.
Blood stains were also discovered in Wacht’s van along with a shell casing that matches the caliber of the casing which killed Johnson.
Johnson was a researcher at NDSU who lived in Cooperstown. He was last seen at a Cooperstown bar on News Years Eve 2010.
