(NewsDakota.com)- Nate Willer has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Jamestown College next season. Willer is coming off his best game of the season with 19 points on 9-10 shooting in a win at Bismarck Century on Tuesday night.

“Nathan is a guy that has a ton of potential,” said Jimmies Head Coach Matt Murken. “His emergence as a post scorer has been a large part of the Blue Jays success this year.”

Willer is a six-foot-six forward who is playing in his senior season at Jamestown High School for the No. 5 Blue Jays. He is averaging just over nine points per game and six rebounds.

“He is a big strong kid who understands the way to help is his team win is to be a force inside,” Murken continued. “Willer will continue to improve and we are excited to have him join our program next year.”

The Jays will be back in action next Tuesday night at Jerry Meyer Arena against Bismarck St. Mary’s. Tip-off will follow the girls game, which begins at 5:45.

The game can be heard on KQDJ-AM 1400.
