City, N.D. – Nearly 160 athletes will participate in the Special Olympics North Dakota competition in Valley City.

The celebration kicks-off with the opening ceremonies and parade of athletes at 11am Friday inside the Valley City Auditorium. Competition will be held Friday and Saturday in the Auditorium and the Valley City Recreation Center.

All events are free and the public is encouraged to attend. The state wide event is being held in Valley City for the first time in the 40 year history of the games.
